ASCENSION LUTHERAN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
We are gearing up for another great school year. Parents, please join us for our Open House on Tuesday evening, August 19, to meet your
child's teacher and our staff. Children are encouraged to check out their new classrooms. We will meet in Fellowship Hall at 6:30pm. Our first day of school will be on Wednesday, August 20. School will be held from
9:00am - 12:00 noon for the first week of school. Our VPK class is full, but we do have openings in our Tuesday/Thursday MMO classroom. Please see either Linda Feldman or Traci Nelson for additional
information and registration. Our staff is returning to start another great year here at Ascension. "Mr. Ed" Stoltenberg has been working hard all summer moving furniture and cleaning our floors and
carpets. Regina Hardee will continue to teach our VPK for our four year old class. Noel Lambert will continue to teach the three year old class and be our Music Director for the preschool. Linda Feldman will help
Mrs. Lambert on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Ajay Monnett will continue to teach our MMO classes. Traci Nelson starts her sixth year here at Ascension as our Office Assistant. We are always on the
look-out for substitute teachers. If you can help us out by filling in from time to time, please let us know. Soon the hallways and classrooms will be filled with love and laughter. We all look forward
in sharing God's love with you and your children!

Our Mission & Purpose: The Early Childhood Program at Ascension Lutheran is here to
provide your child with: the best possible care; a loving environment; a healthy, safe opportunity to interact; and a positive learning experience. These goals will be met in a Christian environment that will
demonstrate God's love to your child and to you, the parent.Children learn best by being actively involved in their environment. Through a wide variety of hands-on experiences, each child will have an
opportunity to explore, experiment, use creativity, solve problems, expand the imagination and develop self-expression. Through small and large group activities, children will learn cooperative social and work skills.
Spiritual development is incorporated into our program on all levels. Specifically, the children will have an opportunity to grow in awareness of Jesus in their lives through daily devotions, prayers, chapel services
and the informal references to Christian living in daily activities. |
