HANDBELL ENSEMBLES
The Handbell Ministry of Ascension Lutheran has been active for many years. In addition to providing music one Sunday a month for the worship services, we pursue special
performance opportunities as an outreach of our music ministry. During one of the Sundays in Advent, the handbells provide a special worship service – entirely of bell music. Rehearsal times:
Basic Bells, for new or inexperienced ringers, on Wednesdays – 5:00-6:15 pm. Ascension Ringers, for experienced ringers, on Wednesdays – 6:15-7:30 pm.

THE SANCTUARY CHOIR
The Sanctuary Choir is made up of people who want to "Praise the Lord with Song." There are no auditions required and we never take attendance. We meet to rehearse
on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm in the choir room in the Fellowship Hall. Age is not an issue - we have 13 year olds to 70 plus.
This coming church season we will be singing a Christmas Cantata and a Cantata
for Good Friday. We sing at the 8:30am service in the Sanctuary. We share Sunday mornings with the Bell Choirs and the Gospel Team. So, some mornings we do NOT sing.
We also have some members who only sing
the Cantatas. On rehearsal nights, we practice that music first, so you don't have to stay for the whole rehearsal. Our Cantatas are: King of Glory by Lani Smith for Christmas ( tentative choice) and Olivet to
Calvary by H.W. Maunder for Good Friday.
