This past Sunday we had a bake sale to raise money for Middle School Gathering. Thank you so much to everyone who participated, we
raised $221.00 This Sunday we plan on selling Krispy Kreme donuts along with the left over items from last week. We will need to have families serve in shifts just like we did this past weekend. Please let me know
when you would be available to serve. Remember that only youth who participate in the fundraiser will earn money for their ticket. Please remember that no youth can attend the gathering without having the group
covenant signed by their parents and themselves. So get them to me as soon as you can. High School Bible study: I am going to postpone High School Bible Study until January. With the birth of Mikayla
approaching and Advent upon us soon there are several conflicts. I would encourage all of our high school students to attend Brian Fricke's Book Club on "The Richest Man in Babylon" This book club begins tonight at
6:30 and runs for four weeks. It is a great book for any youth who have a job or are trying to work to save money.
Mid-Week Confirmation: We will have confirmation class this week in Zehnder Chapel on
Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Pastor will see you all there!
Sunday Morning Confirmation: All confirmation students are expected to attend Confirmation on Sunday Mornings. This week the 7 & 8th
grade class will meet in the music room and the 6th grade class will meet in Zehnder Annex with Mrs. Nowicki. All 7 & 8 grade students need to have pg. 280-281
completed in their journals for this week). 7 & 8 grade students need to bring their journals and bibles with them every Sunday. All confirmation students should be working on their sermon notes, 6 sermon notes are due on December 14
th.
Bell Ringers: Are there any youth who are interested in playing bells? Blanche Marie has music in mind for the traditional and contemporary service and would like to know if there are any
youth who would be interested in playing. She is looking for a good time to have practices so if you are interested please email Megan back and let her know when would be a good time for you to practice.
November Servant Event: This month all youth are asked to attend Ascension Yard Work day on Saturday November 22nd (this is a date change from the last email I sent out). We could use
everyone's help to clean up the courtyard, especially after the roofers have been working around there this month.
Thanksgiving Dinner: Ascension's annual Thanksgiving Dinner will take place on November 23
rd
at 12:30 in Fellowship Hall. Mr. Hosea has asked for some youth to help set up on Saturday morning at 9AM and to help serve on Sunday at noon. Please let me know if you will be available to help with this event.
Other Important Dates to keep in mind:
· November 7-9: Middle School Gathering (We ask all Confirmation students to attend this retreat)
